Dort Online and Dort Online Banking will work with most browsers, but if your browser is not working, the problem may be in the settings. Below are the recommended settings for the most popular browsers.

Browser Settings

Cookies

  1. Click TOOLS.
  2. Select INTERNET OPTIONS.
  3. Click the PRIVACY tab.
  4. Click the button "Advanced".
    1. Put a check mark next to "Override Automatic Cookie Handling".
    2. Select ACCEPT for "First-Party Cookies" and "Third Party Cookies".
    3. Put a check mark next to "Always Allow Session Cookies".

Security

  1. Click TOOLS.
  2. Select INTERNET OPTIONS.
  3. Click the SECURITY tab.
    1. Set the Security Level for the Internet zone to MEDIUM. (if slider bar is not available, Click the button "Default Level").
    2. Click the button "Custom Level".
    3. Under Scripting of Java Applets, make sure the radio button is set to ENABLE.
    4. Under File Download, make sure the radio button is set to ENABLE.
    5. (for XP only) Under Automatic prompting for file downloads, make sure the radio button is set to ENABLE.
    6. Click OK button.
  4. Click the PRIVACY tab.
    1. Set the Privacy Setting to MEDIUM.
    2. Click the button "Advanced".
    3. Put a check mark next to "Override Automatic Cookie Handling".
    4. Under First-party Cookies make sure the radio button is set to ACCEPT.
    5. Under Third-party Cookies make sure the radio button is set to ACCEPT.
    6. Put a check mark next to "Always Allow Session Cookies".
    7. Click OK button.
  5. Click the ADVANCED tab.
    1. Under Security make sure the checkbox for "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" is blank.
    2. Under the Security Section, put a check mark next to "Use SSL 2.0" and "Use SSL 3.0".
    3. (for Windows 2000 and XP SP1 only) Under the Microsoft VM section, put a check mark next to "JIT compiler for virtual machine enabled (requires restart)".
  6. Click OK until exited completely from options.

Deleting All Temporary Internet Files:

  1. Click TOOLS.
  2. Select INTERNET OPTIONS.
  3. Click the GENERAL tab.
  4. Under Browsing History, click the 'Delete...' button.
  5. In the Delete Browsing History popup window, put a check mark next to Temporary Internet Files. User may decide whether to put a check mark in all other boxes in this window.
  6. Click the 'Delete' button at bottom of popup window.
  7. Click OK until exited completely from options.

Deleting Cookies Only:

  1. Click TOOLS.
  2. Select INTERNET OPTIONS.
  3. Click the GENERAL tab.
  4. Under Browsing History, click the 'Delete...' button.
  5. In the Delete Browsing History popup window, check the box for Cookies. Uncheck all other boxes in this window, with possible exception of 'Preserve Favorites website data'.
  6. Click the 'Delete' button at bottom of popup window.
  7. Click OK until exited completely from options.

Browser Settings

Cookies

If you are using Internet Explorer 9, you may be deleting your cookies automatically and will need to change that setting in order to more easily access online banking (skip entering the verification code).

1. Within Internet Explorer, click the Tools icon on the upper right side (looks like a gear wheel).
2. Select Internet Options from the dropdown list.
3. In the Browsing history section, uncheck the 'Delete browsing history on exit' checkbox.
4. Click on the Privacy tab.

a. Click the "Advanced" button.
b. Select the "Override Automatic Cookie Handling" checkbox.
c. Select 'First-party Cookies' and 'Third-party Cookies', if needed.
d. Select the "Always Allow Session Cookies" checkbox.
e. Click the OK button.


Security

1. Click on TOOLS.
2. Select INTERNET OPTIONS.
3. Click on the SECURITY tab.

a. Set the Security Level for the Internet Zone to Medium-high. (if slider bar is not available, click on the button "Default Level").
b. Click the OK button.

4. Click on the PRIVACY tab.

a. Set the Privacy Setting to MEDIUM.
b. Click on the button "Advanced".
c. Put a check mark next to "Override Automatic Cookie Handling".
d. Under First-party Cookies make sure the radio button is set to ACCEPT.
e. Under Third-party Cookies make sure the radio button is set to ACCEPT.
f. Put a check mark next to "Always Allow Session Cookies".
g. Click the OK button.

5. Click on the ADVANCED tab.

a. Under Security make sure the checkbox for "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" is blank.
b. Under the Security Section, put a check mark next to "Use SSL 2.0" and "Use SSL 3.0".

6. Click on OK until exited completely from options.
7. Then close all browser windows (resets the IE9 browser settings) and start up the browser again.


Deleting All Temporary Internet Files:

1. Click on TOOLS.
2. Select INTERNET OPTIONS.
3. Click the GENERAL tab.
4. Under Browsing History, click the 'Delete...' button.
5. In the Delete Browsing History popup window, put a check mark next to Temporary Internet Files. User may decide whether to put a check mark in all other boxes in this window.
6. Click on the 'Delete' button at bottom of popup window.
7. Click on OK until exited completely from options.


Deleting Cookies Only:

WARNING! MFA Impact - Doing this will cause an end user to be challenged at login on an authorized computer.

1. Click on TOOLS.
2. Select INTERNET OPTIONS.
3. Click the GENERAL tab.
4. Under Browsing History, click the 'Delete...' button.
5. In the Delete Browsing History popup window, check the box for Cookies. Uncheck all other boxes in this window, with possible exception of  'Preserve Favorites website data'.
6. Click on the 'Delete' button at bottom of popup window.
7. Click on OK until exited completely from options.


Mozilla Firefox 4.0+ Settings (back to top)

 Browser Settings:

  1. From the menu bar, click on "Tools."
  2. From the Tools menu, select "Options."
  3. In the Options window, select the "Privacy" icon.
    1. If the "Firefox will" dropdown option is "Never remember history," cookies will be deleted from the browser upon browser close; if user is experiencing trouble with the MFA cookie, you can change the option to "Remember history" so that the cookie remains between sessions.
    2. If the "Firefox will" dropdown option is "Use customer settings for history," ensure that both the "Accept cookies from sites" and "Accept third-party cookies" boxes are checked (ON) and the "Keep until" dropdown option value is "they expire."
  4. In the Options window, select the "Content" icon/tab.
    1. Unclick (OFF) the checkbox for "Block pop-up windows." * Or if you choose to have it checked (ON), be sure to add your FI's domain to the list of Allowed Sites.
    2. Click (ON) the checkbox for "Load images automatically."
    3. Click (ON) the checkbox for "Enable JavaScript."
  5. In the Options window, select the "Advanced" icon/tab.
  6. Select the "Encryption" tab.
    1. Click (ON) the checkbox for "Use SSL 3.0".
    2. Click (ON) the checkbox for "Use TLS 1.0".
  7. Click on OK button to close the Options window.
Deleting the Cache: (a.k.a. Temporary Internet Files)
  1. From the menu bar, click on "Tools."
  2. From the Tools menu, select "Options."
  3. In the Options window, select the "Privacy" icon.
  4. If the "Firefox will" option in the dropdown is "Remember history," click on the "clear your recent history" link in the dialog box; if the "Firefox will" option in the dropdown is "Never remember history," click on the "clear all current history" link in the dialog box.
  5. In the "Time range to clear" dropdown option, choose "Everything".
  6. In the "Details" section, expand the selection (if necessary) by clicking on the down button
  7. Ensure that "Cache" is the only option selected and click "Clear Now".
  8. Close the "Options" box by clicking "OK".
Deleting Cookies Only:
  1. From the menu bar, click on "Tools"".
  2. From the Tools menu, select "Options".
  3. In the Options window, select the "Privacy" icon.
  4. If the "Firefox will" option in the dropdown is "Remember history," click on the "clear your recent history" link in the dialog box; if the "Firefox will" option in the dropdown is "Never remember history," click on the "clear all current history" link in the dialog box.
  5. In the "Time range to clear" dropdown option, choose the date range that is most appropriate; please note that this will delete all cookies for the user for the given timeline regardless of site.
    1. Selecting "Today" should help clear cookies related to a user's session
    2. Selecting "Everything" will remove all cookies in the browser
  6. In the "Details" section, expand the selection (if necessary) by clicking on the down button
  7. Ensure that "Cookies" is the only option selected and click "Clear Now".
  8. Close the "Options" box by clicking "OK".

 


Safari 4.0 or 5.0 Settings (back to top)

 Preferences:

  1. From the menu bar, click/select the Safari menu.
  2. From the Safari menu, select "Preferences...".
  3. In the Preferences window, click the "Security" icon/tab.
  4. In the "Web Content" section,
    1. Click (ON) the checkbox for: "Enable plug-ins".
    2. Click (ON) the checkbox for "Enable Java".
    3. Click (ON) the checkbox for "Enable JavaScript".
    4. Unclick (OFF) the checkbox for Block pop-up windows. *
  5. In the "Accept Cookies" section, select the "Always" radio button.
  6. Click ON the checkbox for "Ask before sending a non-secure form to a secure website.
  7. In the Preferences window, click the "AutoFill" icon/tab.
  8. Unclick (OFF) the checkbox for "User names and passwords".
  9. Close the Preferences window.
Deleting the Cache: (a.k.a. Temporary Internet Files)
  1. From the menu bar, click/select the Safari menu.
  2. From the Safari menu, select "Empty Cache...".
  3. In the window, click the "Empty" button.
Deleting Cookies Only:
  1. From the menu bar, click/select the Safari menu.
  2. From the Safari menu, select "Preferences...".
  3. In the Preferences window, click the "Security" icon/tab.
  4. Click the "Show Cookies" button.
  5. On the list displaying the cookies, the User can choose whether to "Remove All" of the cookies OR to select and "Remove" some of them.
  6. Click the "Done" button.
  7. Close the Preferences window.
Block pop-up windows:
* It is recommended that "Block pop-up windows" be turned OFF because Internet Banking utilizes pop-up windows (e.g. Printer Friendly window, etc.).
NOTE: Block pop-up windows can also be turned on/off from the Safari menu.

Browser Settings
  1. Click on the Tools icon (wrench at the end of the URL box)
  2. Select Under the Hood under Options
  3. Click Content settings under Privacy
  4. Cookies: Allow local data to be set (recommended)
  5. JavaScript: Allow all sites to run JavaScript (recommended)
  6. Pop-ups: Allow all sites to show pop-ups
Security
  1. From the Tools menu click Options
  2. From the Options menu click Under the Hood
  3. From the Privacy menu click Security
  4. Check the box next to Use SSL 3.0
Deleting All Temporary Internet Files:
  1. From the Tools menu click Options
  2. From the Options menu click Under the Hood
  3. From the Privacy menu click Security
  4. Click the Clear browsing data button
  5. Select "the beginning of time" from the dropdown
  6. Check the following:
    1. Clear browsing history
    2. Clear download history
    3. Empty the cache
    4. Delete cookies and other site data
  7. Click the Clear browsing data button again
Deleting Cookies Only:
  1. From the Tools menu click Options
  2. From the Options menu click Under the Hood
  3. From the Privacy menu click Security
  4. Click the Clear browsing data button
  5. Select "the beginning of time" from the dropdown
  6. Ensure the only the Delete cookies and other site data box is checked
  7. Click the Clear browsing data button again
